Forest of Lights

The Avatar has been missing for a century, and the spirits are getting bold. One night, Katara watches the southern lights fall and gets trapped in the rapidly growing ice forest. On his ship, Prince Zuko sees those same lights and decides to investigate.

Soon, they run into each other in the Forest of Lights. By now, Katara has learnt that she needs to find the Avatar to save the world. And right now, the only way to do so in time is to team up with her biggest opponent – Prince Zuko of the Fire Nation.

In April when I first joined Zutara fandom on Tumblr, I thought I was really lucky that I came when the Zutara month 2021 was starting. (It somehow felt like a birthday gift).

When it ended, I was like, "it was such a good month and I loved it".

Then, ZK bigbang happened... I was seriously surprised that there were more contents... everywhere.

Nevertheless, I loved it, too.

And I came to a conclusion that there was also a ZK smut week.

Then, ZK week 2021 happened. Ok, I was literally just waiting for the smut week and didn't see this coming.

And now you're telling me that there's ZK mythical creatures week?

Oh my gods. I don't know why but I'm feeling ABSOLUTELY SURPRISED, OVERWHELMED AND INTERESTED.

Yes I am! I didn't manage to submit anything for the sneek peek (ohps) but I am excited to share what we've been working on!

Is...is the bakery au your ZK bigbang entry?

It is not, Anon! [Redacted] fic is my ZK Big Bang entry... We are still sworn to secrecy on what our BB fics are about for a wee while yet. Bakery AU on the other hand is something suggested by a friend. All I have so far is a premise: Iroh is sick/retired from the bakery he was running so Zuko takes over as baker and hires Katara to help out... Lot’s of early morning tired shenanigans, baked goods imagery, and you better believe I’m gonna figure out a way to make there be symbolism in bread or cakes or croissants! Starring Zuko “full of regrets” Sozin and Katara “I don’t want any more drama in my life” La.
